What Does It Take?

I've looked my best.
I've out rhymed the rest.
Written of love.
Written of heaven above.
Shared my pain with the world.
All through my own words.
What does it take.
To fall in love and not let it be a mistake.
I've proved my love each time.
Yet they deny.
That they loved me.
They can't see.
How hard I try to be.
All they that they need.
But I'm never what they want.
Like a floating seed.
Against the wind.
I just can't...
Seem to do what it takes.
