We are one human race in a troubled world.
If you grew up in America (or Europe,) you know for a fact that there are several races: White, Black, Asian and Brown and we really don’t get along. Maybe in polite society but the truth is: there is a lot of tension. Wait a second! That tension is history, culture, economics and politics: not race. We hide ourselves behind the color of skin. Our hopes, and fears, love and tears all feel about the same inside. We are all just trying to survive as human beings in a troubled world.
Now, the troubled world with all its huge problems is a biggie but how would that be changed if we threw out the concept of races and realized that we are one people dealing with life on earth. The Maori (New Zealand) doing the Haka are your cousins. The mother in Africa walking miles to get fresh water for her kids is your sister. Your mother would have done the same for you if she had to. It’s not about race. It’s about being human. So take some time and think about this. Those people you think of as “them” are really “us.”. We are one human race in a troubled world.
