i left a comment in apartmentratings.com about lake colony apartments...here's what i left word for word(as i'm going to copy and paste it here)

to add to the above post,let me say that many of the residents are imo cases of clinical paranoia.i walk my dog about 4 times a night anywhere between 11pm and sunrise.i'm a night person and not even awake until 5pm daily.there's been circumstances and many recently,when i'm walking my dog,that i've been called names by tenants that happen to be outside at the same time that i'm walking my dog.names like 'freak' and other names that are far worse,some not as major/.many of the tenants here seem to be of the belief that it's okay for THEM to be hanging around outside in their cars or roaming around the property at 2am but it's NOT okay for me to be walking my dog at that time.many residents here display paranoiac attitudes that would make me believe that they're not wanting to be seen doing something that they're "doing"(illegally) while they're hanging outside.otherwise why would one care one way or the other that i'm walking my dog at that particular time./i've not met anyone here that has been friendly enough to do much more than say hello or good morning in passing ,but yet some seem to be concerned with my presence when i'm outside on the property whether it be daytime OR nighttime/..bottom line=alot of paranoid,gossiping troublemakers living here alongside,what i'm certain are decent tenants that are emotionally stable/.it seems that i don't see enough of the latter however/.

i know that

i'll probably be frowned upon by typing the truth to millions that use apartmentratings.com as their apartment review source when looking for a new home.but what i typed is the truth.and there are other posts there that aren't flattering to the complex as well,so mine is just one of many/.

but what can i say??

i've lived here since 2003...i've run into more rude and paranoid people than anything else here/.

in fact when shooting video with my cam,apparently a neighbor(maybe more)seemed to believe i was shooting her .actually i was shooting the property and my dog and if anyone was outside i shot 'around' them..meaning ,to either side or above them but not AT them ---and let me make this clear..when shooting still pictures or video,when i'm aiming the camera in one's direction just generally,it's probably going to look like i'm shooting them. at a distance it WILL look like that of course.if i go outside right now and shoot the parking lot directly in front of me..just one car..if anyone is standing further across the parking lot in front of one of the townhomes,it's going to look like i'm aiming at them...of course it will..think about it..//


but that isn't necessarily the case and wouldn't be for sure/.

i have no desire to get anybody in this complex on video or still picture or otherwise/. it wouldn't benefit me in any fashion or form and i'd be wasting precious space on my drive or memory card/.


in the near 7 years that i've lived here,i've hoped many times that someone would be friendly enough to invite me over to have a cold one or maybe to watch the game...why??
my friends have,for the most part,gotten married and moved away or moved away because of their jobs taking them elsewhere/.

the few...very few friends that remain here live as far away as the far side of Seagoville,in Combine Texas..Combine is farm land and that's all..nothing else. it's totally off the highway and out in no man's land.... even the birds that land out there get lost and wind up calling information on their cell phones..



so... i drive out there..just every once in a while...and now since october (2009)there's only 1 person that remains there that i visit.

but making friends here in the complex wasn't at all a good idea.//
people that go to the pool in the summer months don't care to make friends when they're out there..

.i walk the dog on the property as well as at the lake...nobody ever attempts to walk over to be friendly.

plenty of times ...alot of times , i've been at the lake with my dog,but i learned real fast that females walk their dogs over there to just walk their dogs over there./they're not trying to meet anyone..guys or otherwise.they're just walking their dogs/.

so the idea that i might meet somebody across the street while walking and playing with my dog kinda petered out fast too!


people have become so involved with the friends that they already have formed that a new face in the crowd isn't appealing/.

so...

what now????
well..if lake colony continues to go the pathway as part of "the ghetto by the bass pro" i'll surely wind up moving in november when my lease is up/.

why should i continue to pay rent in a complex wherein i'm being called names here and there as i'm walking my dog./

the kind of name calling that people do from a distance... but they make certain that you 'hear' them as you pass by...you know..the paranoids...the people that have major emotional problems and have to force them on to someone else in order to maintain some kind of mental ego/...sad..because it's the opposite of ego that makes them do such things..it's insecurity actually.//
