In a rose, I see the thorn
In every classic, I see it’s worn
In the light of a candle, I feel the breeze
In a simple favor, ignoring the please
In the ray of the sun, the shadows my place
Constantly closing my time and space
Feeling and thought, iron cage
For granted, simplicity, of turning the page
Lost in reason, fading voice
Open minded, making choice
With the setting of the moon, I hold myself back
From the rising of the sun, and what “others” I lack
Under illusion, expecting the worst
New revelation, I wrote my own curse!
On the scales of chance, focus on the least
Always willing, to feed the beast.
Irony is bliss, the blame is my own
Weak form of defense, I gave him his throne!
